I've come to the conclusion that this season's casting twist maybe that all 14 people have secrets to reveal to America as well as the rest of the house in a similar fashion to Frances "Secret Story" which in itself is a licensed under the Endemol "Big Brother" brand. Basically it would work like this: Everyone would be told that they all have secrets to hide from each other and they would be given a list of the secrets. When someone has a guess they would go to the DR and enter an official guess if the guess is correct they would win a designated prize or cash award. If the guess if wrong the prize would drop by half and if the second attempt is wrong as well they would no longer be eligible for that specific persons prize money."

"Interested individuals need only show up with an application and a desire to be on a reality TV show. Applicants will film two-minute videos at the casting call.

A location for "Survivor 17" hasn't been released, but Tom Beisel, director of marketing and operations at WMBD-TV, which will host the event, said he thinks 90 percent of people who show up to the casting call will apply for "Survivor" and just 10 percent will be interested in "Big Brother 9."

"CBS Interactive seeks a multimedia producer to work as an editor on Big Brother 9 content. Duties include but are not limited to watching all episodes of the show and extracting video to create mash-up/recap video segments, writing questions for the house guests to answer, creating various pieces about the house guests (E.g. meet/greet videos, exit interviews from the house, etc.), and editing/posting clips on a daily basis about events currently happening in the house.

We are looking for a person that is fan of the show with a thorough knowledge of previous season's results, house competitions and house guest personalities. This is a free lance position that lasts for the duration of the show. This position requires heavy editing under deadline circumstances, so please only respond if you have experience with Final Cut Pro.

Please respond only if you are able to make a full commitment for the duration of the show: Feb 10th - late April. Include resume and video links (not required) in response, thanks.

Experience Requirements:
• Extensive non linear editing on FCP
• Knowledge of video formats, video conversion and general audiovisual issues
• Technical troubleshooting skills (including Tivo)
• Ability to prioritize large and small projects
• Professional communication skills – written & verbally – within corporate structure
• Proficiency on both MAC/PC
• Ability to meet weekly deadlines
• Creative editing skills a must!
• Strong writing skills
• Knowledge of camera operation and basic lighting skills a plus (though not required)

Role & Responsibilities:
• Edit and post video clips
• Create mash-up pieces from video footage
• Interface with department & network representatives for project clearance and creative direction
• Some night and weekends required

"Alright, so I went to the open call in Atlanta and while I did not get a call back, I can share a tidbit that makes me think this secret thing may have some validity.

In my group of 5, there was a girl, a blonde model from Atlanta and she mentioned something like "I am dating 2 guys - one knows and the other doesn't know" after she said this one of the casting people stopped her and said "don't tell the rest of what the other guy doesn't know in front of everyone else". After we were all dismissed, she was asked too stay behind."

It is only promos, I am not taking Julies place on anything. She will be shooting her spots the day before me, only because they have to stay an extra day since I will be gone on vacation.

Evel Dick filming Promos for Big Brother: After Dark

According to his myspace page, the Big Brother 8 winner will be spending sometime in a studio recording promos for SHO2's Big Brother: After Dark. Rumor is he'll be taking the place of the annoying Julie Chen cues that scared the living day crap out of everyone who watched.

He's also planning on a trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, the the Bahamas, the Motley Cruise, and then to Florida to see his family. (How many trips does that make!! He's a spender and not a saver that's for sure!)

"According to a report, movie icon Sophia Loren is puzzled by people (like moi) who religiously watch the globally franchised reality show Big Brother.

She is quoted as saying "I can't get my head around people wanting to watch wannabes simply sleeping or having insane conversations or, worse still, sitting up all night on the off-chance two idiots may have sex." (Is she trying to say I need to get a life? She doesn't even know me!)

All kidding aside, even though Sophia doesn't get it, there are plenty of BB junkies out there -- and it's not about wanting to see if "two idiots" will have sex. We watch to see the relationships, the backstabbing, the game play, and all of that other fun stuff.

In related news, CBS announced yesterday that Showtime's Sho2 will once again air three extra hours of live footage from the Big Brother house, seven days a week, when new season premieres next month. We bet Sophia would be rolling her eyes about that!"

LOS ANGELES, CA - (January 8, 2008) - CBS and Showtime will once again partner to bring viewers Big Brother: After Dark, an exclusive, live televised look inside the BIG BROTHER house after the network prime-time cameras have been turned off. Big Brother: After Dark will feature a live television feed from the "Big Brother" house for three hours (12:00-3:00 AM, ET/PT), seven days a week, on the cable network's SHO2 multiplex channel beginning Tuesday, February 12th at 12:00 AM ET/PT. The announcement was made today by Robert Greenblatt, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.

One by one, the houseguests will vote each other out of the house. At the end of three months, the last remaining houseguest will receive the grand prize.
