mIRC 6.16 Instructions on How to Reach #RealityBBQ and Chat
First download mIRC 6.16. Save the file somewhere (I recommend your desktop), and then double-click the new icon. Install the program, then check "Launch mIRC" and click "Finish".
A window called mIRC options will pop up that looks like this:
You should now fill in a name (make it an alias or your first name, NOT your full name), email address (put a fake one to avoid spam), and a nickname and alternative nickname (like RealityBBQ and RealityBBQ2). I recommend you check off invisible mode - it just means a little added security.
Next, click the
button. This window will appear:
At this point I just delete all the IRC Servers listed in the drop down menu - this makes finding the RealityBBQ server MUCH easier. First, click the server listed in the drop down menu once, then keep clicking
until they're all gone.

at the top of the menu on the left to bring up the connection window. Press 
. A lot of stuff will scroll by and then this window will pop up:
Now I won't ever go to any channel but my own, so I don't need all these other entries. If you'd like to get rid of the entries this is what you do - click on the first entry in the list, then scroll down to the bottom of the list, press the shift key, then click on the last item on the list. This is what happens:
Now, because I will never ever visit any of these channels, I click
.
Whether or not you deleted all the channels, it's time to add ours to the list. Click
. This window pops up:
This is the information you should put in it. To add RealityBBQ to the Networks: menu, click
then choose RealityBBQ from the list and click . Please note that the checkbox "Join channel on connect" at the bottom of the window IS checked!
This is what it should now look like (if you've deleted all the channels). Please note that the checkbox "Pop up favorites on connect" at the bottom of the window is NOT CHECKED!
To enter a channel, click on it, then click
