"According to a report, movie icon Sophia Loren is puzzled by people (like moi) who religiously watch the globally franchised reality show Big Brother.
She is quoted as saying "I can't get my head around people wanting to watch wannabes simply sleeping or having insane conversations or, worse still, sitting up all night on the off-chance two idiots may have sex." (Is she trying to say I need to get a life? She doesn't even know me!)
All kidding aside, even though Sophia doesn't get it, there are plenty of BB junkies out there -- and it's not about wanting to see if "two idiots" will have sex. We watch to see the relationships, the backstabbing, the game play, and all of that other fun stuff.
In related news, CBS announced yesterday that Showtime's Sho2 will once again air three extra hours of live footage from the Big Brother house, seven days a week, when new season premieres next month. We bet Sophia would be rolling her eyes about that!"
"“ 'Big Brother: After Dark' was a big success for us at bringing an audience to very late night time periods on SHO2," Robert Greenblatt, president of Showtime entertainment said in a statement. "This began as an experiment with our friends at Endemol and CBS, and I'm happy that it worked so well for all of us. I'm amazed at how much curiosity there is about what goes on in the Big Brother house after the lights are out, but what better place to present that than on Showtime, where we have a lot of on-air real estate in the wee hours of the morning.” "
"Belgrade - Three former members of the ongoing Serbian Big Brother show have been killed in a car crash, local media reported Saturday. Citing eyewitnesses and police sources, it was reported that Stevan Zecevic, 23, Zorica Lazic, 24, and Elmir Kuduzovic, 25, who were voted out of the Big Brother home ahead of the finale on New Year's Eve, were killed when their car crashed into a river late Friday night."
"Big Brother (CBS, Feb. 12): Because the writers' strike rages on, the Eye net has prepared a winter edition of this summer reality staple. Rumor has it that this ninth edition may run just six weeks, instead of the usual three months. Casting is currently under way!"
"DANVILLE, December 17: Joy Tashjian Marketing Group (JTMG) has launched a comprehensive new licensing program for the ninth season of the hit CBS reality series Big Brother.
JTMG is the exclusive licensing and merchandising agency for Endemol USA and its Big Brother series. The agency is gearing up for a variety of games, including board games, card games, computer and video games. JTMG will also roll out a ‘best of’ book series, as well as apparel, stationery, paper products and an extensive array of fan-based merchandise.
The ninth season of Big Brother will premiere on February 12, 2008, in its regular 9 p.m. timeslot, with The Early Show co-anchor Julie Chen to reprise her hosting duties. Big Brother follows the relationships and conflicts of players who live together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day. One by one, the houseguests vote each other out of the house. At the end of three months, the last remaining houseguest receives the grand prize of $500,000. The series is executive-produced by Oscar- and Emmy- Award winner Arnold Shapiro, Emmy Award-winner Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan, in association with Endemol USA.
“We are delighted to continue our successful collaboration with Joy Tashjian and JTMG as we return Big Brother to CBS for its eagerly-anticipated ninth season,” said Tina Hoover, the director of production for Endemol USA.
Added Tashjian, the president of JTMG: “Big Brother represents big business opportunities for licensees and retailers alike. We are excited to bring the message of this perennially popular reality series to leading licensees across our targeted categories.”
"CBS already has an answer to the writers strike: more Big Brother. The network is cranking up its perennial summer staple for a winter run to help fill the holes left by writerless dramas and sitcoms."
"The bigwigs behind Big Brother, including executive producer Allison Grodner, are holding open casting calls for the show's next season — which will be starting up in mid-February, a lot sooner than its typical summertime slot, thanks to the writers' strike. There are still a few days of open calls left, so if you've always wanted to bare your soul (not to mention the rest of you) on national television and live 24-hour Internet feeds, check out CBS.com. Grodner told us what will get you noticed, why nothing's too outrageous and how some former faves nearly didn't make it on to the show."
"And CBS announced it will run "Big Brother" three nights a week starting in February. Yes, that's right, the Mensas-in-a-house competition series originally developed as mind-numbing summer fare has been upgraded to ratings-sweeps programming in the teeth of the writers' strike."
"It was just one of those things that was fated, or so Mike Muir believed.
Sidelined by two back surgeries for a few years, the fully-recovered Southern Californian rocker was planning an elaborate 2008 comeback to celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Suicidal Tendencies,” his thrash-punk outfit’s eponymous Frontier debut. The festivities would include an extensive U.S. tour and festival dates in Europe. But fate itself beat him to the punch.
“Now all of a sudden we’re a red-hot band again — people are excited about Suicidal Tendencies, and that’s just great,” says Muir, 44, who’ll be testing those revival waters with a show at Slim’s on Sunday. "
Things got serious last night outside the club most known for parking lot smackdowns of drunk girls -- when two men were seriously injured after being shot at inside and around Les Deux!"
" “Big Brother” is holding an open casting call Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Katy Mills Mall.
Outgoing, intriguing, competitive people who think they have what it takes to be a Big Brother House Guest are welcome between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. that day. "
"People from all over came to the News19 studio Saturday morning to show off their personalities and audition for the reality CBS t.v. show, "Big Brother."
The line began forming outside before 8:30 a.m. The first person in line was Victoria Pratt, of Columbia. Pratt said it's been her dream to be on "Big Brother" since the very first season. Pratt says, "I'm gonna be on 'Big Brother.' I'm gonna walk in that house and shake it up."
People from a wide variety of backgrounds auditioned for the 9th season of the show. Some of the people were teachers, college students, funeral directions and even a former Miss Gay American."
"The writers' strike has CBS ramping up for a new season of "Big Brother."
Indeed, the network will be casting for new players here Sunday in anticipation of getting a winter edition of the summer show rolling early next year, should the strike continue. "
"However, she says viewers should expect something different. “We really want it to stand out. We want it to be special, because we’ve never done something like this before. I promise you it will be different from any other ‘Big Brother’ you’ve ever seen.” Hey, maybe you could not manipulate the outcome to fit your narrative?"
"While not confirming those pesky rumors that a new season of "Big Brother" could start as soon as February, CBS has opened up casting for the reality favorite.
CBS announced Thursday (Nov. 15) that "Big Brother 9" will have organized casting calls in 17 cities (some very close to each other) between Saturday, Nov. 17 (in Los Angeles and Columbia, South Carolina) and Saturday, Dec. 8."
"Dustin Erikstrup is ready to resume his normal life: studying at Columbia College, working at a shoe store and enjoying quiet evenings at his Edgewater home with his cat.
The spotlight of CBS-TV’s bright lights and countless cameras inside the Big Brother 8 house, where he lived with from early July through mid-September, are gone. So, too, is his ex-boyfriend, Joe Barber II, who also was a participant in the popular reality show, which was broadcast live three times a week: Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. "
"For three-years, Jameka Cameron prayed that she would be accepted as a contestant on the reality show "Big Brother." When she was finally chosen, she took it as an answer to prayer. Although, as Cameron discovered, answered prayers aren't always what we would expect them to be."
"My summer guilty pleasure could be back as soon as this January. Variety reports that CBS is quietly putting together a new season of "Big Brother" due to the writer's strike. Nobody knows how long the strike could go on for. It could go on months and networks are looking to reality shows to fill the gap."
"Are Julie Chen and her band of summer shut-ins ready for primetime in the regular TV season?
According to Variety and Entertainment Weekly, CBS has already begun casting on the sly for a new season of "Big Brother," which could be rushed to the air as soon as February."
"CBS announced it could bring back its reality staple, Big Brother for it’s ninth series as early as January or February, however; reports are unclear if this is going to be a celebrity verison or if it will feature ‘ordinary’ citizens like it has every season. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that a CBS insider is quoted as saying that the production team over at the Big Brother lot in Studio City is quietly staffing for it’s next installment.
Earlier this year Paris Hilton was reported as expressing interest in appearing on the popular British version of Celebrity Big Brother which has featured such American’s as Jermaine Jackson and Tracy Bingham. However; when Channel 4 axed the popular series from their winter line up due to backlash from last seasons show, Paris was left by the wayside after she reportedly said she’d due the series if they “could afford” her.
My only concern is that an American celebrity version of the show would end up being more like The Surreal Life than Big Brother. If they do choose to do a celebrity version they better stick to the rules and treat the celebrities no more or less differently than they would any one else."
"CBS is gearing up for its first in-season cycle of Big Brother, which would start in February or March, three times a week. The network also ordered a 13th cycle of The Amazing Race, which had planned only one contest this season."
"As if the report that CBS is planning to counter the writers strike by bringing "Big Brother" back early weren't depressing enough, now Variety suggests the ant farm might be populated by celebrities this time around.
Says the trade paper: "A long strike might work in favor of such a plan, since some celebs normally busy working on sitcoms and dramas might have some time on their hands."
"CBS has reportedly begun casting for the upcoming season of Big Brother, which usually airs during the summer months, but may be back on the air as soon as February, Variety reports.
Other reality staples such as Survivor, The Amazing Race and American Idol should also be unaffected by the walkouts. "
""Big Brother" is usually a summer show, but Variety reports it has started staffing up for an in-season run that could be on the air as soon as February, people familiar with the situation said.
In anticipation of a strike, CBS quietly began casting for the next edition of the show a few weeks ago."
"CBS has found a way to soldier on as the WGA hits the streets during the writers strike. It seems that the Eye Network realized that one of their bigger shows during the dog days of summer is a thrice-weekly reality show that requires no writers and they already have the set built. Don’t look now, but Big Brother is coming back sooner than planned!
According to Variety, the network has been already casting for the peeping-Tom show for a few weeks now. If the strike lingers into the new year, the accelerated Big Brother could be ready to hit the air as soon as February. And since the show is launching in the middle of February sweeps, the producers are preparing a twist to their fighting-strangers formula. "
"CBS may rely on its "Big Brother" as a strike contingency.
Skein, usually a summer staple, has started staffing up for an in-season run that could be on the air as soon as February, people familiar with the situation said.
Indeed, in anticipation of a strike, Eye quietly began casting for the next edition of the show a few weeks ago.
Exec producer Allison Grodner is also said to be working on a new creative twist for the Julie Chen-hosted skein, in which a group of strangers live together in a house for three months.
There's been buzz that the next edition of "Big Brother" might actually use celebrities, as opposed to ordinary people. A long strike might work in favor of such a plan, since some celebs normally busy working on sitcoms and dramas might have some time on their hands.
Possibility of an early "Big Brother" popped up on Tuesday's edition of the Eye's "Early Show." Anchor Hanna Storm joked that the show might be back sooner than the summer, prompting a roll of the eyes from Chen. Chen then expressed her hope that the strike is settled soon.
"Big Brother" would be a perfect strike weapon for CBS because it airs three times a week, filling three key hours of primetime."
"Big Brother fans, prepare to celebrate the Writers Guild strike. A reliable source says CBS is quietly ramping up production on a ninth cycle of the reality show to begin airing in late January or early February if the strike persists well into the holidays. It's easy for CBS to fire up production on BB because it owns the house (which is located on the network's Studio City, CA lot) and it casts for the show year-round. We hear executive producer Allison Grodner is already hiring production staff and, of course, Julie "Chenbot" Chen would return as host. A CBS spokesperson declined comment.
Like seasons past, the network would probably air the show thrice-weekly, although there's always the possibility of adding more nights since action occurs around-the-clock in the BB house. Last summer, fans demonstrated their desire to watch even more of the house happenings by tuning into to Big Brother: After Dark on Showtime. It's unclear whether the nightly feeds will resume with this new cycle, though it seems likely. If the midseason BB does go forward, it is unlikely to affect the regular summer run of the show."
"Variety reports today that CBS has begun staffing for an early launch of a new season of "Big Brother" due to the writers strike. The show, which normally airs over the summer, could now start again as early as February.
The producers are also toying with the idea to lock up celebrities this time instead of civilians. An idea that grows more and more possible due to the fact that lots of stars are available if the strike continues, and their shows, especially the sitcoms, are kept on hold."

BEAR GRYLLS RETURNS TO DISCOVERY CHANNEL WITH MISSION TO EVEREST SPECIAL AND ALL-NEW MAN VS. WILD ADVENTURES
-- Fridays at 9 PM (ET/PT) Beginning November 9 --
(Silver Spring, Md.) – Fresh from his latest challenging adventures, Bear Grylls is back with a new one-hour special and the second season of MAN VS. WILD, airing Fridays at 9 PM (ET/PT) beginning November 9. Bear travels to the Himalayas for BEAR’S MISSION EVEREST, where this past spring he attempted to fulfill a dream to fly a powered paraglider higher than Everest, and takes MAN VS. WILD to the intense climates of the Sahara, Panama and Patagonia, where he shares invaluable knowledge for surviving in the extreme wild.
“We continue to seek out new exciting and daring adventures for Bear, and he continues to do what he does best – as exemplified in these two different types of shows,” said Discovery Channel President and General Manager Jane Root. “From an expedition documentary to hands-on demonstrations of life-saving tips for viewers, Bear Grylls brings out the adventurer in all of us.”
In 1998 at age 23, Bear became the youngest British climber to ever complete a summit and descent of Mount Everest. This spring, Bear returned to the Himalayas to chase a new dream – flying a powered paraglider higher than Everest. As a special companion piece to the second season of MAN VS. WILD, Discovery Channel will premiere a one-hour observational documentary that follows Bear, his close friend Gilo Cardozo, and their team as they attempt their dangerous feat – raising money for a children’s charity through their efforts. BEAR’S MISSION EVEREST, which premieres Friday, November 9, at 10 PM (ET/PT), follows the team during their meticulous preparations, recording their personal thoughts about motivation, hopes and fears that arise just before and during the flight – and the drama of the flight itself.
The second season of MAN VS. WILD, beginning first on Friday, November 9, at 9 PM (ET/PT), focuses on three geographic area visited by Bear. Each region will be the subject of each two consecutive weeks. From the barren deserts of the Sahara (November 9 and 16), to the mist-filled jungles of Panama (November 23 and 30) and the isolated plains and glaciers of Patagonia (December 7 and 14), each epic program illustrates the variety of landscapes and presents a wide range of possible survival challenges for Bear.
Followed by a camera crew, Bear tackles these different scenarios, using his training and adventurous spirit for everything from climbing out of crevasses and scaling waterfalls, to scavenging and eating raw insects, fish and goats’ testicles. Prior to production, Bear meets with local experts, guides and rangers and shares the knowledge he gains with viewers through action in the wilderness. Viewers will venture deeper into these forbidden landscapes alongside Bear as he encounters dangerous situations and meets nomadic tribesmen while filming.
Coming soon to discovery.com/manvswild, visitors will find an exclusive behind-the-scenes interview from Everest with Bear discussing what he missed while living at that altitude, what safety precautions he had to take, and whether he'd ever return to Everest for a third time. Other new online content will include video mash-ups of Bear's grossest and most frustrating moments, "in Bear's shoes" survival quizzes, top 10 lists from Bear, picture puzzles and more.
Bear Grylls is a seasoned adventurer who served with the Special Air Service, a special forces unit of the British army, where he was trained as a survival expert. He has channeled his daring spirit into feats such as the highest-ever dinner party at a table suspended below a hot air balloon at 24,500 feet, and the first unassisted crossing of the frozen North Atlantic Ocean in an open rigid inflatable boat.
"Robyn, thank you for taking the time to chat with us today about Big Brother providing hopefuls with application tips. Let’s start discussing the application basics.
A. Robyn Kass, Casting Director Big Brother: My first tip for applicants is simple, you need to apply. I run into so many people who want to be on the show, but many don’t take the time to apply and send in an audition video. The majority of tapes are repeat applicants. Many people assume we won’t see their tape, however, we watch them all."
"Ever wonder how Big Brother ends up with quasi-psychotic criminals on the show? The series’ casting director says that most things that might come up during the background check are dealbreakers.
“There is not much in the background check process that will take you out of running,” Robyn Kass tells Reality Wanted. “In short tell us everything up front. If we find you did something that you did not disclose prior there may be a problem. Don’t lie. Surprises are the worst. If something does come up, we may assume there are additional things you are hiding from us. If we know everything prior, we are not blindsided and we can properly deal with those issues,” she said."
"The series “could easily return as soon as March,” Variety reports. Every other season of the show has aired in the summer, debuting in July and concluding about three months later.
Even more surprisingly, Big Brother 9 may be “a long-rumored celebrity edition.” Almost two years ago, TMZ incorrectly reported that CBS was announcing a celebrity edition of the show."
"NBC has been getting ready with an unscripted show called "Baby Borrowers." CBS has ordered a legal show with former prosecutor Marcia Clark and is casting for a new edition of "Big Brother," which typically runs in the summer.Fox is working on "Smile You're Under Arrest.""
"The sight of a blind-drunk young woman being assaulted by a Big Brother housemate in what may be the most public rape ever has turned the stomachs of millions of television viewers.
The incident, broadcast live by a pay-TV conglomerate across Africa, has prompted denunciations from the continent's great and good. Viewers have flooded newspapers and internet message boards with emails expressing undiluted outrage.
Many of the emails contain photo clips from the programme that appear to show Richard Bezuidenhout (left), a 24-year-old film student from Tanzania, assaulting Ofunneka Molokwu, a 29-year-old medical assistant from Nigeria."
"MIKE "Boogie" Malin, who co-owns the Dolce Group of restaurants in Los Angeles with Ashton Kutcher and who won last year's "Big Brother" series, was arrested last week for allegedly assaulting a waitress at a Denver sports bar. Malin, 37, a New Hampshire native who went to college in Boston, was in Colorado for the Red Sox-Rockies World Series and got into a tiff with the waitress after he ebulliently mocked Colorado for being swept. He was bailed out Tuesday from the Denver sheriff's lockup. Malin certainly does have a way with women. On last season's "Dr. 90210," he was seen visiting his creepy friend and dermatologist Will Kirby for removal of genital warts and bragged about having unprotected sex with multitudes of women. When advised he'd have to wear condoms, Malin moaned and was then seen being taken out on the town by Kirby to meet more victims."
"Big Brother" winner Malin jailed for Denver bar incident
NOVEMBER 1--Our old friend Mike "Boogie" Malin, the reality television veteran who last year won $500,000 on CBS's "Big Brother," was arrested earlier this week for reportedly assaulting a waitress at a Denver sports bar. Malin, a New Hampshire native who went to college in Boston, was apparently in Colorado for the Red Sox-Rockies World Series. Malin, 37, was booked into the Denver sheriff's lockup, from which he bonded out Tuesday. Malin is pictured below in a mug shot provided by the Denver Police Department. While the photo crops out most of his shirt, it appears that Malin, a Los Angeles restaurateur, may have been wearing a Red Sox away jersey when he got popped."
"EATER EXLUSIVE: One of the Dolce Group partners apparently had a little too much, um, fun in Denver last week. We're tipped off that Mike Malin spent 15 hours in a jail cell following Game 4 of the World Series "for allegedly assaulting a waitress at a local sports bar." We have no idea what kind of assault, but Dolce Group PR tells us, "Malin is working with his legal team to properly handle the misunderstanding and the charges."
Apparently the former Big Brother contestant (and winner, we think) is a huge Red Sox fan found himself 'celebrating' the win. The last time we saw Malin was opening night at Ketchup when cameras followed him around for some TV spot; no (obvious) server groping or abuse was present. The Dolce Group also owns Dolce, Geisha House, Bella and Les Deux. [Eaterwire]"
"I think one always kind of wonders, when one's writing, who'll be reading what you have to say. I wondered if any of the Big Brother 8 House Guests would see, and read me. But I especially wondered what EvelDick would think, and say.
EvelDick himself provided this opportunity the other day.
Many of my early articles were Pro-EvelDick. Many others were not kind at all. Then my editor forwarded a comment from EvelDick to me about my "Fox Reality Really Awards Show" article: "Bonaduci, Fights, Forgiveness & Fairplay.""

"Eric Stein and Jessica Hughbanks are still a couple, five weeks after leaving the Big Brother 8 house and reentering the real world.
Their romance is “still going strong,” and Eric and Jessica “plan to continue their long-distance relationship until Jessica graduates, then see what happens,” the Wichita Eagle’s Denise Neil reports. But in the short term, they’ll only see each other on holidays, although Eric just spent a week with Jessica in Kansas. "
"Yes, they're still very much together -- and plan to be for a long time. Yes, Evel Dick was as evil as he appeared -- and maybe even more.
And yes, actually, Eric does kind of like Kansas after all.
Earlier this week, I had the chance to sit down with two of last summer's most popular "Big Brother 8" houseguests -- Haysville's Jessica Hughbanks, 21, and her on-screen/off-screen love, Eric Stein, 27."
"This summer, Big Brother 8 houseguest Eric Stein told viewers that he had "some pretty compelling options" available to him when he paved the way for Dick Donato's eventual win by "deciding" not to use the veto ability he won in the show's eighth Power of Veto challenge to allow Jessica Hughbanks, the Stein ally who was serving as the game's Head of Household at the time, to "backdoor" Donato or his daughter Danielle out of the competition."
"Joyami: Love you Dick and congratulations!! Would you ever do a reality show again?
Dick - Who knows, right now I am trying to stay away from it and get a regular TV show. But who the ***** knows... I could have never in a million years predicted the path of my life."
"The announcement of the latest ratings win by CBS came on the same day that the company disclosed that it had signed a new long-term contract with its president and CEO, Les Moonves. Although the pact reduces his annual compensation to $3.5 million from $5.9 million over the next four years, it adds incentives tied to the performance of CBS Corp. stock."
"he Fox Reality Channel Really Awards 2007 were full of excitement as the winners and losers of the only awards show dedicated to reality television were unveiled in Hollywood. Highlights included Sanjaya winning Favorite Loser for his performance on “American Idol,” Bridget from “The Girls Next Door” winning Favorite Hottie and the Golden Realitini for Favorite Reality Performer going to Evel Dick from “Big Brother 8.”"
"A cast member on Big Brother 8 says that producers forced Eric, America’s Player, to not use the power of veto, keeping Dick and Daniele in the game and adding more evidence that the producers didn’t care about anything (like, say, fairness or integrity) except advancing their Dick and Daniele narrative."
"Q: What was your biggest fear going into the house?
Daniele: To be completely honest, I had no fears, I’m thinking.. "ok I need a break from reality and just want some excitement in my life, so this will be a nice change of pace…""
"HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLO! I have been dying to come and post for the longest time! I was going to wait for my head to stop spinning from all of the great insanity surrounding this experience, but I realized that if I waited for that, I'd be waiting for the rest of my life.
First of all, I'd like to sincerely thank all of you so much for your outpouring of support. The way in which you've embraced me, the show, my role as America's player, my family, etc. has been incredible. This site is absolutely amazing - what a great resource for me to have and it's a real honor to have this sort of tribute to me.
I'm the world's biggest reality TV fan and this opportunity was truly a dream come true (or as I said so many times in the house, "it's a dream come true and my worst nightmare all at once" haha). I never thought that I'd be lucky enough to be selected out of thousands upon thousands of people - it's been fantastic!
I'm wildly back-logged on e-mail/myspace etc., but I'd love to answer some highly anticipated questions or maybe blog about some of the things you guys would like to hear about the most. Long before I came on this show, I was a HUGE fan myself, so I hope I can be as accomodating as humanly possible in showing my appreciation to you all.
Since I know this is one of the hottest topics, let me just say that Jessica and I are doing great. I'm soooooooo gay for her and I love every second with her.
Hopefully I'll be able to stop by more frequently now that the dust is settling a bit. Thank you all so much!
"I've got another Wrap Up Q&A this week and it is with Big Brother 8's Jessica. Jessica was part of the rival twist at the beginning of this season being paired up with Carol. Jessica was a two time head of household winner and made it to the final six before being evicted. Jessica and Eric, who was America's Player, started a romance in the house that has continued on outside of the house. Jessica and Eric were my favorites of the houseguests this season and I cheered for her and Eric all season. So, this was a pleasure to have her answer the questions for the Wrap Up. A huge thank you to Jessica for responding and taking the time to answer!!"
Are you a "Big Brother" fan? Could you succeed on that reality show?
Here's your chance. Auditions will be conducted Friday and Saturday at the Southern Women's Show at the Orange County Convention Center.
The times: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
What to do beforehand?
You can log on to www.Local6.com -- the Web site for CBS affiliate WKMG-Channel 6 -- for more information.
The station urges hopefuls to download the application, fill it out and read the rules before arriving at the convention center. This will save you a lot of time, WKMG warns.
Auditions will be in the West Concourse. Contestants cannot line up before 5:30 a.m. both mornings. They will be kept near the Ashley Furniture booth, which will be near the main entrance.
Here's another important bit: Each contestant receives a comp ticket to the Southern Women's Show. Anyone accompanying a "Big Brother" hopeful must buy a show ticket."
"What are your plans for the future? Currently I am home with the family and relaxing, But I’m working on Dolphincrash. Getting the web site up and running. Should be up this week and the clothing line debut is for the 28th of October. I can’t wait to get dolphincrash.com up and running, I’m sure there are a lot of fans that want the clothes."
"In recent years, producers and networks have increasingly pushed the boundaries of television voyeurism in search of another ratings hit.
At times, this has proved problematic for television networks. There have been several lawsuits related to shows like “Big Brother” and more recently, CBS found itself facing accusations that it had created dangerous working conditions for children in its reality program “Kid Nation,” in which children aged 8 to 15 toiled in the New Mexico desert to build a working society on their own.
...
To make a case for negligence, legal experts said, the accusing party would need to prove that the reality program created a situation that put its subjects in jeopardy. A “Big Brother” cast member (Krista Stegall) sued CBS, for example, in 2002 after another cast member with a criminal record held a knife to her throat. CBS settled the case for an undisclosed amount."
"Where do things stand with Eric? Eric and I are dating. I am anxiously awaiting his first trip to Kansas.
Are you back in school? I had to take this semester off because Big Brother lasted too far into the school semester for me to attend this fall. I will be back at Wichita State starting in January 2008."
"Reality TV has bimbos, bugs, battles and now its own honors: the Reality Remix Really Awards, at which Waldorf's Jameka Cameron won for "best moment of prayer."
"I think it's a category that was just added," says Cameron. "But I'll take it." "
"Big Brother 8 winner Richard Louis “Evel Dick” Donato and his runner-up daughter Daniele leave WeHo’s Les Deux nightclub on Tuesday after a double date with their respective significant others.
The Donatos left the club hand-in-hand with their dates. Dick looked quite cozy with his girlfriend Reanna Mae.
Daniele, a former Hooters waitress, is still going strong with her Big Brother hook-up Nick, aka Nicholas Starcevic.
For the ultimate Nick and Daniele fans, you can bid your heart out on Danielle’s BB8 duffle bag and Nick’s football shirt that they both wore on the show.
As of this posting, the shirt (autographed by both Daniele and Nick) is up to 47 bids with a hefty $2,000.00 price tag. The bag (autographed by Daniele) is up to 44 bids with a whopping $2,800.00 price tag. Talk about cashing in!"
"For instance Big Brother has had an "All-Star" show. Now, a real Big Brother All-Star show lineup would be Tonya Harding, Mike Tyson, Ron Artest, Pete Rose, John Rocker and Bob Probert. Rose would be hustling, Tyson and Rocker would come to blows, Artest will be Artest and Harding will be plotting how to get the attention on herself."

"When Big Brother finally ended two weeks ago, the spotlight was naturally on its eventual winner, Dick Donato. But aside from the limelight coming from his somewhat controversial triumph, numerous questions arose surrounding the true nature of his relationship with his daughter and regarding the abuse he heaped profusely on practically all of his fellow houseguests."
