“I would like to take this opportunity to again thank all of the wonderful people that have supported me while I was on “Big Brother” and who continue to support me now that the season has ended. A special thanks to my loving family, who I am very grateful to have in my life. Their kindness and guidance has helped throughout my time on and after the show. I want to thank the people who bid on my items that were put up on eBay. Proceeds went to the Sharing Down Syndrome of Arizona Foundation a charity that is very dear to my heart. My beautiful nephew Boston was born with Down Syndrome and this charity gives him many great opportunities that allow him to build and grow in all aspects of his life. So thank you for all of the support!!!
It has been several months since the “Big Brother 10″ season has ended, thus giving me several months to reflect upon the time spent with 12 strangers. I can honestly say that it has been a roller coaster ride. I have had my ups and downs but would not have been able to get through many of the toughest times without the one person that has stood by my side. Yes, that person would be “Ollie”. I have received many questions about my stay in the BB house but the number one question being “If Ollie and I are still a couple”? The answer is YES! From my understanding after hearing about many hurtful discussions most of the fans believed that Ollie and I were just another showmance and nothing more. Well I hate to inform you that we are not. When people ask me the question I really enjoy telling them that we are not a “showmance” but an actual “romance”. As everyone witnessed on the show Ollie is an amazing individual. I am very fortunate to continue to have him be a large part of my life. He has taught me so much about myself and continues to teach me something new everyday.
I am still living in Arizona and have been busy with multiple projects. I am currently working with an organization that aids children with disabilities. Again this is something that I greatly enjoy and I hold near and dear to my heart. As many has witnessed I have a competitive nature and a love for sports. So I am excited to participate in the LFL this year and help bring the Phoenix Scorch to a victory this Super Bowl Season. I have also been involved with the television networks; Lifetime Fitness and the Travel Channel. I am definitely keeping busy.
Lastly, to the fans of Big Brother 10 I would just like to say thank you again. I would like to thank you for all the positive feedback and mostly like to thank you for the negative comments. Although very difficult to hear about it gives me an entirely different outlook on the way I acted in the BB house. I apologize if I offended anyone because it was not my intentions. I walked into an unfamiliar house with 12 unfamiliar people with no other contacts and a stressful environment and the only goal was to do anything or say anything to win $500,000 you will tend to see an ugly side of yourself. The entire cast of “Big Brother 10″ are some truly amazing people. I have had the fortunate opportunity to stay in contact with some of the cast. For the ones that I have not spoken to since the show has ended I hope all is well and I am wishing you the very best.

“According to this picture, April and Ollie are still an item, and I have to admit I’m surprised. I thought it was a definite showmance. I also didn’t think his preacher father was going to look too kindly on their in-house sex that was shown regularly on the live feeds. But here they are, bowling with the oddest romance to come out of season 8, Jen and Nick.
I wonder just how it was they came up with this double date of these two couples? They must have met at the party after the season was completed and exchanged phone numbers or something saying, “Hey, we should all go out one night!” How it was they decided on bowling, I’m not too sure.
But even more strange to me that they’re still together is that Jen and Nick now are. He had the biggest thing for Daniele all season, and no matter how many times Jen insisted he had kissed her, he flat out denied it, insisting he didn’t want anything to do with her. Yet, after the show, he and Daniele break up, and he ends up going out with Jen. And they’re the couple that stuck.
Maybe that means good things for April and Ollie. Maybe it means they’ll stay together awhile as well. I can’t find much else on them since the show ended, but I can only imagine they keep a low profile after their sexcapades. Her MySpace is marked private, probably for good reason. I can’t imagine the things people would try to post there.”

“I appreciate all the kindness and support from the fans of Big Brother. This experience is one that I will treasure for a lifetime. I have had the opportunity of meeting some very wonderful people and making friendships that will last forever. I would also like to thank my family for their love and support.
For my wonderful fans I have placed a few items up for auction on ebay. If you wish to bid on these items 50% of all proceeds go to a down syndrome charity in honor of my beautiful nephew. My twin sister Angella is the contact for all ebay questions. I am currently out of town visiting Ollie but will be back in Arizona early next week.

“You know what sticks in my craw? People who have absolutely zero self-awareness and have the gall to talk smack about others in a manner they should reserve only for themselves. When people like this show their mean-spirited selves and inexplicably say horrible things about largely innocent people, they are actually usually talking about themselves. When April, on last night’s Big Brother, laid the verbal beat down on Keesha, joined by inept partner in crime Michelle, my jaw dropped. You’d think that whatever issue she has with Keesha (I still don’t know why the hatred exists), would have dissipated after a couple weeks. But, then came the real bombshell – April went on a diatribe on how ashamed some houseguests (read: Keesha) will be once they exit the Big Brother house, and how she’s proud of herself because of how wonderfully she must have been portrayed on Big Brother. April, meet narcissism. ”

“April Dowling said she didn’t do anything to deserve being evicted from the Big Brother 10 house. True, she was quite “friendly” (she let a 75-year-old man grab her breasts on Day 1 and a quick YouTube search will return multiple videos of her cozying up with her showmance partner Ollie, obviously forgetting —or not caring — that the camera is always running), but the feeling with the rest of the house apparently wasn’t mutual. Though she has no idea how much of her has made its way onto the Internet, we were able to chat about her 4-1 eviction, how she really feels about Keesha and, of course, her showmance.”

Ollie: Is it bad to be sexually attracted to your best friend?
April: No, that’s perfect.
Ollie: My relationship with April is far beyond what some people might call a showmance. It’s something that’s real.

April: I’d look really stupid to America if I sat here and went, Oh, I’m not going home. I’m a realist.

INTERVIEW
Julie: You said once in the diary room, You gotta play the game, don’t let the game play you. Yet here you are. Did you get played?
April: I think there was parts of the game I definitely got played. I trusted too many people in the game. Kind of put my fate in their hands. Which obviously in turn left me here.
Julie: Let’s talk about Ollie. How serious is this relationship?
April: Obviously, living inside of a house and being with someone 24-7, and getting upset, and not being able to walk away, or even lock yourself in the bathroom because there’s no lock on the door, you can’t even do that, so, it’s very very difficult. So I think once we get into the real world, and things might change a little bit, that’s where we’re really going to find out more about each other and how we can interact with each other on a dailybasis.
Julie: Do you want it to be serious?
April: You know, I’m, I just stuttered there for a moment, um, no, I guess. No, I’m hoping that things work out, but I can’t forsee the future. If I could, I’d be winning a half-million dollars right now, so, obviously I can’t forsee the future. But I hope so. I hope so.
Julie: Was this game everything you expected it to be or was it ten times harder?
April: It was completely different than what I expected. But at the same time I loved every single minute. I would never take back a minute that I spent in that house.
Julie: April, we thank you.
April: Thank you, Julie.

“Last night on Big Brother: Higley resident April Dowling cautioned Keesha in keeping Libra in their alliance because April couldn’t trust her.
Despite Jesse’s desperate pleas and April’s advice, Head of House Keesha decided not to use the power of veto on Libra and kept Jesse and Angie nominated for eviction. Jesse alleged that Libra was going behind Keesha’s back, but earlier in Big Brother 10 Keesha told Libra that she’d always be with her and forged an alliance. ”
