“I am not kidding, this is the movie in real life and it is not ending…. yay!

We are somewhere south of Portland, Oregon. How did we get there you ask?? Well, when your plane gets cancelled, you are basically just fucked, period. They really don’t try to help you out. The planes going out are full, so…. oooops, sorry. And that is it. The quickest we could get out of Seattleby air was Xmas day….. yay!

Now, I could really give a shit and thought it would be a nice way to spend Xmas with Dani. But… noooooo. She has to get back to the boyfriend she has been fighting with nonstop over text messages since before we even left… yay!

So, Amtrak was a no go, greyhound bus was a no go… So, I finally found a rent a car that we can return in LA… yay!

The roads are so bad and so scary that I felt like we were gonna die driving on them. I mean you can’t see the road, the lanes, nothing just snow and the fact that you are driving on ice… yay!

So, we are fighting so much that I doubt we will be speaking again for months this time. She is staying in another room in this crack head hotel we stopped at in nowhere Oregon to wait till morning and see if we can go back to Portland and catch a flight. Because if we have to spend any more time than is absolutely necessary together, there will be a death, we are both at the end of our ropes and soon enough someone will be hanging by the end of one of them….. yay!

So, I wanted to say thank you to everyone that has broken up the tension along the way. In Vancouver, Wa at the Walmart. You guys were great and thank you for helping us find chains. At the tire store, thanks for taking my picture and giggling while I was dying putting on the chains. And for the drunken idiot at the Denny’s, I hope you drown in your own vomit…. yay!

It is about to turn to December 23 and I can’t remember a shittier Xmas besides when I woke up in a jail cell 23 years ago on this date. Ahhhh, what I wouldn’t give for a nice warm jail cell close to home right now…. yay!”

” It all started when Dani and I got to the airport. We were a tremendous 5 min. (of the 40 minutes early you are supposed to be) late going on Virgin America. Well, we had the choice of waiting another 6 hours till their next flight or forfeiting the entire amount we paid for the flights. I told them to go fuck themselves and they are forfeiting us as future customers and they could stick out tickets up their ass.

Great start…

So, I am really excited I spent a couple hours looking up fares and flights the night before, so I could pay double the highest fare I saw when booking the tix. Woo Hoo.

I couldn’t be late because I had a meeting with some of the execs at Real Player. They have actually developed a piece of equiptment for me to use for my webcast that will allow me to jump on their stream and be able to webcast from anywhere I have an internet connection. Plus it is nice to reestablish relationships with some of them that I have not seen since coming up here when I was here doing a chat with Janelle. And the fact that I will be working with them next season as well as with other things…

Well, after getting up here. I give a call to find out that Real Player and all the employees there are snowed in and it is shut down for the day. And as it turns out, the next day as well. Oh well, at least we have the Jets game, right?

So, during blizzard conditions, the Jets manage to lose once again to one of the shittiest teams in the league….. uuuugh.

So, we are ready to get the hell out of here… nope!

Airport closed!

We managed to get a hotel room for the night and hopefully we can get out of here tomorrow.

Please let us get the hell out of this frozen tundra and back into the warmer climate of LA. No more cold weather trips for me thank you very much. And thanks to all the Seattle fans we ran into over the last few days. You people have eagle eyes. I have no idea how you could recognize me when all you could see of me is eyes and nose with the rest bundled up with scarves, hats, earmuffs and shit. You guys rule!

- You know what TV show is the bane of every reality TV fan’s existence? 60 MINUTES! Messing with The Amazing Race and Big Brother every single week is unacceptable! None of us want to watch it, It ruins our DVR settings, and if I never hear that 97 year old man waxing poetic about peanuts (or whatever the inane topic for his final remarks) ever again that’d be fine by me.

- I have never seen TITANIC and I never will. My goal is to be the last person on the earth to not view it. I bet you’ve all seen it, right?

- On The Muppet Babies everything was seen through the perspective of the kids… so all we ever saw of Nanny was her pink skirt and trademark white & green striped stockings. Anyone else ever wonder what she looked like? Her voice made her seem like she was a matronly lady, but what if she was actually like a smokin’ hot Swedish Au Pair?

- Speaking of hot animated women…how about the lady situation in Smurf Village? Talk about a sausage fest…so many men and just one Smurfette. I bet she really got around.

- I don’t know how to ride a bike.

- Staying with modes of transportation, I don’t understand traffic. Naturally, I’m taking accidents and inclement weather out of the equation…so let’s just focus on rush hour highway traffic. It defies logic. Plain and simply, if everyone is driving, then why don’t all of the cars keep moving at a steady pace? Regardless of how many cars are on the road, so long as everyone driving, why do the cars come to a halt?

- Here are a few tongue twisters…try to say them five times fast:

“I slit a sheet, a sheet I slit, and on this slitted sheet I sit.”
“You know you need unique New York.”
“A big black bug bit a big black bear and the big black bear bled blood.”

- Since I live in an apartment, I don’t have a chimney. This concerns me. How is Santa going to deliver my presents? He certainly won’t be able to get through my multiple dead blots and chain either. Perhaps he can tunnel up through the shower drain? Who am I kidding…I’m not worried at all! Since Hannukah Harry is in fact a magical wizard, he’ll find a way! He’s not limited by a chimneys-only entrance route!

- Palindromes are kinda nifty. I like “Yo Banana Boy.” Know any good ones?

- It’s snowing here in lovely NYC! Snowball fights, snow angels, snow men, snow fortresses, and sledding are on the horizon! But more importantly, you know what this means…the joy of watching people slip and fall in the snow!

- And since we all love people falling and we all hate Heba and Vicky from The Biggest Loser…you can imagine how happy I must have been when BOTH of them almost face-planted at the finale! I was dying of laughter! That’s when having a DVR/Tivo really becomes worthwhile. Did she just trip?!? Wait wait, go back…..there she goes again…..rewind….. and…..slip…..rewind…..and fall…..bwuhahaha, did she almost go down too….rewind….again…..rewind….and whoops, hahaha! It was a thing of beauty – an instant classic! And I know you all loved it just as much as I did! CHANGE! YEAH! WE NEED A CHANGE! YEAH! DO IT TODAY! YEAH! I CAN SEE YOUR SPIRITS RISING! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TODAY TO MAKE ME FEEL PROUD?!? You fell down at the finale! Hahaha, brilliant stuff.”

“I have some biz to take care of with Real Player while I am here. They are very happy with the webcast and are excited about the future prospects and avenues we will be going down. Basically I am trying all kinds of new shit that they have been onboard since the beginning with me…. They get it and for a large company are doing really well not letting things get tied up in red tape or basic bullshit. They are letting me go full steam ahead and helping make the ride smoother for me along the way.
Real has made a piece of equipment that will allow me to do webcasting for them from basically anywhere! So, I am gonna get to see this thing they developed for me tomorrow.
And we have basically agreed about next season working together again with the backyard interview etc… So, I am stoked and can’t wait to see this thing they came up with.

I will be at the Jets game here in Seattle on Sunday. And we will be out and about in the city for the next few days, so I will try and let you know where we will be hanging so if you want to brave the freezing cold and join us for a beer or shot, you can do that.

Also, we will be doing a webcast for Real while we are here, but it won’t be live. So keep your eyes peeled for that and the video blog I did for them while I was in Paris with Crazy James and the Suicidal Tendencies show we went to see while I was there. We ended up on stage with the band… There is a great interview I did with Mike Muir on there too.

Anyhow, we are starving and gonna go eat some sushi…”

With the 13th Season of the Amazing Race complete, the 14th installment has already been filming and is currently underway.  Featuring several teams of two, with a pre-existing relationship the premiere of the next season of The Amazing Race will be on February 15, 2009 at 8:00 p.m.

From the get go, Team Andrew and Dan never did make it to any placing in the top 3, only the leg before the final being out Toni and Dallas, who made a mistake loosing their passports and their money in a Taxi Cab that drove away. The final three teams, Nick and Starr, Ken and Tina, Andrew and Dan went into the final legs with high hopes. At the end it was a Rat race between Ken and Tina and Nick and Starr for the winning spot of the leg. It all came down from Zip lining to a island to obtain the next clue which lead them to a Memory Challenge with 150 Clue Boxes with Clues from each leg of the race. Finally having it come down to who could get a cab first to win the race.

“For 5 years now i have been dating this amazing girl that has seen through all the hard parts in my life and made them whole again. Through so many experiences in the past five years i have grown to cherish and love this girl beyond anyone in my life. I have realized like every relationship with its ups and downs, the ability to recover from those plateau’s of difference is the true signs of a healthy relationship. My high’s with her are incredible and my lows just the same. After seeing how my life is slowly transforming, always feeling behind everyone else, i have realized I really can’t live without my partner. She is the one that breathes new life into my heart and head when the chips are down, and when i have pocket aces and on the flop there are aces, she builds me up… I have caused some issues that are hard to recover from, but we have overcome them. None the less we are human… Everyone makes mistakes. Anyway what i was getting at, is that its very difficult to find the right mold of character you want in a companion and over this 5 year period i have found one right under my nose and never knew it. unbelievable… so through the train wrecks, and the heavenly escapes i have found the one, at least i think so… when she reads this i hope she realizes the changes she has made to my character, and my heart. I hope great things for the future. Just felt like sharing…
