“BIG BROTHER” RETURNS WITH A FIRST EVER “ALL-STAR” VERSION
IN ANOTHER FIRST, AMERICA WILL DECIDE WHICH HOUSEGUESTS MOVE INTO THE “BIG BROTHER” HOUSE
The Seventh Installment, Hosted By Julie Chen, Will Premiere This Summer
CBS announced today that the seventh installment of BIG BROTHER will return this summer with an “All-Star” version. For the first time ever in BIG BROTHER history worldwide, America will help choose who will participate in the game from among a pool of 20 of their favorite former houseguests from all six seasons.
Julie Chen returns as host.
BIG BROTHER: ALL-STARS (working title) will reunite some of the most memorable, entertaining and controversial houseguests from previous BIG BROTHER seasons as they compete for the $500,000 grand prize among a group of people who could potentially consist of previous champions and some of the series’ best personalities. Once again, America will be able to see the people they love and the people they love to hate!
The series will follow the relationships and conflicts of players who live together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day. One by one, the houseguests will vote each other out of the house. At the end of three months, the last remaining houseguest will receive the grand prize. While living together in a confined space won’t be anything new to the houseguests, choosing between any pre-existing relationships and building new alliances could be a challenge.
BIG BROTHER: ALL STARS is Executive Produced by Oscar and Emmy Award winner Arnold Shapiro, Emmy Award-winner Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan, in association with Endemol U.S.A.

- Viewers will help cast the show, vote 12-14 into the house from 20 past HG the CBS producers pick
- Robyn, casting director, lied when she said they would hold casting calls (like I said
- Will probably premiere Thursday, July 6
- This season we’ll get to vote on tons of stuff (yay! a GOOD twist!)
- Prize is still $500,000
- Julie Chen returns as host
- More twists will come
- The rules of the game will not be changed when they enter the house
“You may be seeing some familiar faces on Big Brother 7. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that CBS is bringing back past houseguests for an all-star edition of Big Brother this summer! CBS has not confirmed or denied this report, but EW claims to have the details already. According to the magazine, fans will get to choose who enters the BB7 house from a pool of 20 contestants. The rules of the game will not be changed when they enter the house.
Now, the big question is, will King Kaysar of BB6 be playing the game one more time? Which of our favorites are coming back? I will keep you posted! “
“As CBS unscripted series Big Brother hits its seventh cycle this summer, it will move to an “All-Star” format featuring former cast members from the first six installments.
CBS said that viewers will select the participants from a pool of 20 people who have previously appeared on the reality show. The contestants will be vying for a $500,000 grand prize in the competition format.

“The next round of CBS’ Big Brother, likely to premiere in early July, will be an “all-star” edition in which fans can vote from a pool of 20 past players to fill the household’s 12 to 14 openings. “This will be the most interactive Big Brother yet,” exec producer Allison Grodner tells Variety. “Viewers will be involved more than in the past.” Fine, but anyone who votes for Holly and her annoying voice will hear from me.”
“CBS is planning an all-star edition of summer hit “Big Brother,” but with a twist: Viewers will help cast the show.
Details are still being hammered out, but the current plan calls for CBS and the producers to select a pool of 20 past “Big Brother” players. Viewers will then get the chance to help select which of those 20 get to move into the “Big Brother” house in Studio City.
It’s the first time any of the various international “Big Brother” formats has allowed audience members to participate in the casting process. There’s been buzz about an all-star “Big Brother” for a while now (Daily Variety, Oct. 12).
Exec producer Allison Grodner said that 12 or 14 players will ultimately move into the house, depending on how the public votes. She and CBS are staying mum over just how the voting will be conducted, but it’s expected producers will retain the right to cast some slots with past players who aren’t aud favorites.
There’s no word on a premiere date yet, but if history is any guide, skein will premiere the week of July 3 — most likely on Thursday, July 6.
Picking the cast isn’t the only way auds will participate in “Brother”"Brother” this season.
“This will be the most interactive ‘Big Brother’ yet,” Grodner told Daily Variety. “Viewers will be getting involved more than in the past.”
Players will still decide who gets booted from the house and who wins the $500,000 grand prize. Julie Chen returns as host.
Producers are planning a number of other twists for the seventh season.
Grodner, Arnold Shapiro and Rich Meehan are the exec producers of “Big Brother: All-Stars” in association with Endemol USA.”
“All-star ”Big Brother”: It’s on! The CBS reality show will welcome back past contestants — selected by viewers — for this summer’s season 7 by Lynette Rice
Paging Dr. Kirby, Chicken George, and the faaaabulous Marcellas Reynolds! EW has learned that CBS will air an all-star version of Big Brother when it returns for a seventh season this summer. In the current issue of EW, we say who we’d like to see back in the hot tub this summer, but for the first time ever fans will get to choose who participates in the game from a pool of 20 former houseguests (BB6’s Kaysar Ridha, stay by your phone!). CBS has yet to announce how or when voting will occur.
So far, the basic rules will remain unchanged for the all-star version: One by one, the houseguests will vote each other out of the house and at the end of three months, the last remaining houseguest will receive $500,000. And yes, Julie Chen will return as host.”
