“Local celeb Marvin Latimer, of “Big Brother 5″ fame, is feeling rejected, but not defeated.
He’s been pitching a pilot for a cooking/comedy show tilted “Cooking on the Edge with Marvin” to several networks, including E!, The Food Network, and BET, but got the thumbs down.
“Damn … even BET, you say?” Latimer said in a recent e-mail. “Yes, folks, BET rejected me after a 20 minute phone call making me think I had a deal.”
So, ever the industrious sort of fellow, Latimer decided he’ll sell the show himself, in DVD form, via his Web site.
“If I get good enough numbers, I have a couple independent producers I could contact to prove the show is bankable. Tough row to hoe, but that’s me,” he said.
Also, the show is available for download for 99 cents at Latimer’s Website, www.digsix.com.”
Tonight, starting at 7pm Pacific/10pm Eastern, Howie from “Big Brother 6″ will be guest hosting with me on “Guilty Pleasures”. You just HAVE to listen to Howie and his antics. There will, once again be new music and new cd/t-shirt giveaways!
