Click here to watch, but if that doesn’t work go here and click on “‘Big Brother’ Set Visit”.
“Hi, ET, I’m Allison Grodner, one of the executive producers of Big Brother. Wanna come on in and get a tour of the new house?
(Shows big wood kitchen table with usual lazy susan and new black chairs with white speckles. Then shows blue-hued fishtank with big fish and fake plants. Then shows bedroom with walls painted like sky with clouds and big comfy bed. Next is that old bathtub.
“This is the new kitchen, which is much bigger this year. They get a full refrigerator, nice new island (with stools), and ovens, and the whole works.
(At kitchen table – in BG you can see new backyard doors, glass tinted purple, the fishtank – which replaces the bar with stools from last year – and the couches which are beige with red pillows.) This is where they do the nomination ceremony. Two people will be nominated for eviction and one will go.
(Shows sharks in fishtank, very very blue lighting for some reason.) You’ve got about 4 sharks in the tank, and assorted fish. On the other side of the tank, the one way mirrors. Cameras will be behind there. As the camera looks through you’ll see the sharks and then the houseguests out here, maybe by mid-summer you won’t be able to tell the difference.
(Into the living room, which has some weird funky “art” pieces on the wall, black table with green/orange inlaid somethingorothers, the couches are beige and the eviction chairs are green, both with red pillows). This is where the houseguests will gather every Thursday night for the live show. The two people up for eviction will sit in the eviction chairs, the hot seat, the green chairs. Julie Chen will be featured on the plasma screen over there and they will learn their fate.
(First bedroom off living room, it’s all wood) This is the wood room, named for obvious reasons. This is actually not a bad room to be in – three people will sleep rather comfortably here.
(Second bedroom off living room, it’s painted like a sky with realistic clouds and comfy beds) Here you’ll feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud. Four people will also fit into this room, and they have more privacy than they initially think. All they have to do is take this switch and the windows are instantly opaque.
(Third bedroom, the one near the bathroom – it’s all cement with mats for matresses) It’s a cement room with nothing between the houseguests and cold, hard cement but one thin camping mattress pad. (Allison laying on cement bed) Not very comfortable.
(To the bathroom, pretty much the same with new paint, etc.) This is where the houseguests spend a lot of time, of course. There’s only one bathroom, one actual toilet facility for all thirteen people, so it gets pretty crowded in here.
There are cameras in the shower, everyone always asks, but they’re only used if the houseguests go in there to do anything but shower. Meaning if they go in there to strategize, or any other conversations, we will air it on television. Otherwise, we don’t just air people in the shower.
(Shows that stupid little pool) So this is the Big Brother 5 backyard, there’s definitely some changes from previous years. The basketball court is gone and in its place – a putting green. We’ve got two hammocks, kickboxing station, and the hot tub, which of course, as in all years, they’ll have to win priviledges to.
They still need to wash their clothes by hand and ring them out here, but we gave them a dryer this year because we don’t want to see their clothes hanging all over the yard.”
